was a great learning event -- I now understand how to 'use' the manual settings in a way that makes sense; having the opportunity to have 'hands on' experience in different settings was the key; Becca was wonderful; patient and spent time with everyone as we asked questions; the small group was also great.

The teacher (Rebecca) is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! This is the second class that I took with her and I?m really impressed with how much we?ve covered in each session. I?ve taken other online courses in the past and none have come close to the hands on experience that I?m gaining through these workshop/classes with Rebecca. Highly recommend!

I have lived in the Milwaukee area my whole life, and this was the first time taking a picture of the Milwaukee Art Museum. I have my camera with me every morning in hopes to get a good picture on my way into work. The purple in the sunrise matched the purple lighting on the Calatrava that morning. The picture was taken handheld with my Olympus OM-1 camera at 12mm, 1/6 sec S.S., F2.8, and ISO 250. Some tweaks made in Lightroom.

Took this one on a very chilly morning (1-20-24) from Veteran's Park in Milwaukee. Didnt use any digital editing to manipulate the colors. Just used a fast shutter speed to control the brightness and to draw out the colors and detail. Had to stop taking pictures shortly after taking this one because my fingers became so cold, they could no longer work the buttons on the camera. Caught a couple keepers that morning, though, so it was well worth the temporary chill.

This photo was taken the next day after the big snowstorm we had. I?ve been waiting a long time for some decent snow to get winter shots of holy Hill. Finally had an opportunity, but had to be careful as all the roads hadn?t been completely plowed yet, but this was one of my favorite shots I took that day. This is one of my favorite areas to take photos.Taken with the Mavic 3 pro 3x lens.

First off, I have to say that I am not a "Birder". But I love challenging my photographic skills and abilities. The American Kestrel is not a big bird, and it is fast. So even when you know its takeoff is imminent, it is still hard to get a nice clear photo of the bird. This particular image was shot with a Canon R6 camera, with the RF100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens at 1/5000 sec, f/7.1 and ISO 4000. I used the animal eye-tracking feature of this mirrorless full frame camera, and was very plea

I had shot the sunrise at Horseshoe Bend the same morning and was hoping for a blazing sunset at this location after talking to the other photographers present at sunrise. Even with some clouds, we were not so fortunate and when the sunlight was casting on the water I switched to black and white mentality and was able to capture this photo. You can just see the setting sun in the upper right corner for the photo.

I was on a leisurely family walk going towards Nene Valley Railway in Wansford when serendipity struck, and I found myself in the perfect spot to capture a captivating moment. The timeless allure of steam trains and the bustling atmosphere of the railway added a touch of history and charm to my photography experience.

It was a cloudy day and my cat was up in the tree. he had always had very deep blue, but with all the defused light from the clouds and the contrast from the tree bark, It sent me running for my camera.I shot it on a Nikon D5600, with a 70 - 200mm lens, on January 25, 2024.I shot it raw while in manual mode, the aperture was 4.1, the iso 100, and the shutter speed was 1 over 700.

This one took a bit of planning to catch the Milky Way in the place I wanted, the Weather, Moon, and Milky Way core all had to be right and as you might guess it took a few seasons for it to come together, every time it was a walk in the dark over the sand dunes from Pennard to get to the right spot on the cliff edge, I'm a little picky when it comes to star trails and although there are certain formulas for shutter speed to "visibly" limit star trails I'd rather have none, so I dragged my Star
